What is the weather like where you are? Here on the west coast, we are having the weirdest of winters! One day the temperature is well above freezing, and we are either getting rain or clouds. Then, without warning, the temperature dips and we get snow - often in isolated pockets around Metro Vancouver. Last night we had at least 4 inches of the stuff at our house, yet two miles from here NOTHING! Last night, it started snowing around 4:30 and by 5:30 some of the roads around here were all but impassible. Yet, a scant few miles from the center of the storm, nothing but rain and wind! If you were wondering where last week's podcast ended up - no, it did not end up on the cutting room floor! Remember that pesky kidney stone I gave birth to a couple of months ago? Well, it had a brother and I was very much under the weather last week - with a "brother" of a pain in the back. I am now feeling much better and as my old dad used to say, "back in the land of the living!" So, back to the studio and yet another podcast. This week, I sort of meander all over the place, with Al Murphy www.bestofmurphy.podomatic.com right where he is supposed to be - on the 20's - and Michael Godin at the bottom of the hour. Rollie the Goalie appears around the 50 minute mark! Thanks to everyone for the jokes, stories and pictures. If you had visited the site at all last week, you would have noticed some very strange things happening with the HOME PAGE www.donspodradio.com of the website. Somehow, after some server maintenance by the site carrier, the page reverted to a page that was there some 20 weeks ago. What I thought was weird is that the information for that page was still there - when I edit the page I naturally assume that what was once there is now gone! Apparently not so! Now I am wondering if Email I delete from storage is ever really gone! It has been said that once posted, an internet file is forever and I am starting to believe that, based on recent experience. Anyway, all is well and the site is not only fixed, but updated to a new look as well. Many thanks to those who take time to share - stories, news and jokes! I post as many as I can - please remember I need to keep things "G." This week Al Murphy looks at the Barton Murder on his weekly Retrospective, and Michael Godin once again ages us all with the Birthday portion of his weekly Rock and Roll News. On last week's podcast from www.donspodradio.com and CKW, I suggested that it might be fun to search the archives in the "shack out back" and find all the songs with the word "BLUE" in the title. Well search I did, and to my surprise, I found a good number of songs - enough for this program with some left over! So, this week, CKW has taken on a Blue Hue, and you will enjoy I am sure, listening to all the Blue tunes from my library of super hits! Al Murphy is here with his RETROSPECTIVE at 20 past the hour, and Michael Godin fills the bottom of the hour with Rock and Roll News. Me, well I fill in all the other gaps with some of the best music you will hear anywhere! Welcome to another year of podcasting from www.donspodradio.com and CKW - it is great to know you are out there, supporting the sites and listening to our podcasts. After a good couple of weeks away from work and the regular routine, here we are, back behind the mics for Podcast 90 - and the start to a new year! This week I thought I would colour your world - no, not the old paint company, but the music machine. This week the podcast features tunes with a colour in the title - as an example, PAINT IT BLACK by the Rolling Stones! This, and many other colourful tunes are featured this week. I hope you take the time to listen! In reviewing the music library for this program, I noticed a whole lot of music with the word "BLUE" in the titles and so decided to do an ALL BLUE show - and that is coming up next week. If there is a favourite BLUE tune you would like to hear, let me know and I will dig it out and play it for you. Ladies and Gentlemen, another DonsPodRadio/CKW REPLAY! I know it is the first podcast of 2008, but everyone here is NOT HERE - we are on a bit of a winter vacation. So, in order to keep the music coming, here is a replay of a podcast originally posted February 27, 2006 - away back to the beginning of these podcasts! This podcast was the 4th in what has been a great run for this little station.
