"Famous" by Elizabeth Pulford. Alisi and Lyn present this podcast about a boy who is desperate to become famous. He tries all kinds of things in his effort to become famous and none of them work. All of the other members of his family are famous - including the cat - but he just cannot manage it.

"Family Secrets" by Margaret Mahy This podcast is of another book in the Kiwi Bites series. We really love the Kiwi Bites books here at Pt England School! Pheonix and Jaydn present this story by one of New Zealand's most famous authors, Margaret Mahy. We always expect to see unexpected characters in her books and this one has them all. A dragon who is different from the rest of her family who becomes friends with a boy who is different from the rest of his family. Together they show their families that they are pretty cool kids (or should that be dragon and kids?) and have some fun and adventures along the way.

"To the Harbour" by Stanley Palmer. This beautifully produced book is presented by Matthew and Wayjo from Room 18. The boys comment that the illustrations in the book make it particularly special. They are photos of paintings done by the author and bring to life what New Zealand must have been like in the time our grandparents were young.

"The Astonishing Madam Majolica" by Eirlys Hunter is presented by Sam and Uani. Toby could hardly believe his ears when Madam Majolica told him that if he bought her special toothpaste he would only have to clean his teeth once a year. It was a dream come true. But Toby was not prepared for what happened when he tried it out!

"Grandma McGarvey Joins the Scrum" by Jenny Hessell. This picture book is presented by Tanielu and Tyler in Room 15. In this funny story Grandma's car breaks down, she finds herself in a rugby match - on the team, and scores the match winning try.
