I have a Scottish last name... which proves only one Scotsman in my ancestry, and yet the Leslies consider ourselves Scottish-American. Even though there are a lot more German and English ancestors. We're like most Americans; we're mutts. Celebrating ancestry through historically-inaccurate Highland Games and Renaissance Fairs. Obviously if our ancestors thought their homelands were so great, we wouldn't be here in the United States would we? And yet in order to feel better about ourselves we tap into the past those ancestors rejected. Well, not really the past. Lots of it gets ignored because we don't teach history in schools; we teach patriotism. (Length: 25:30. 13.1MB.)

Music and fun, because my previous podcasts have been a bit of a downer. What kind of music do I listen to? All kinds... except country and some rap... and then I get started. Movies I watch, when the school post office can get them to me. Movie piracy hurts the “little guy”? Do you REALIZE how much money the average “little guy” makes? (Length: 27:16. 13.6 MB.)

Heresies are false beliefs about God; they may not send you to hell but they do get in the way of knowing God better. I discuss one or two of them, and their cause: reducing God to a formula and our relationship with Him to a contract. (Length: 26:44. 12.6 MB.)
