Maple City Youth Group exists to equip teenagers for ministry, to reach non-believing students, to connect them with other Christ followers, to help them grow in their faith and to worship God with their lives.
Jr. High
A team of volunteer coaches, with the oversight of Pastor Scott, put together dynamic Wednesday night meetings for kids in 7th and 8th grade. Worship time happens with the Sr. High band and then its back to the Jr. High theater for study and fun. Once a month we get together for a social event. Annually we do things like the Acquire the Fire event, a four day camp out at the Alive Music Festival and get locked in at MCCh for the 30-hour Famine to raise money for those in famine-stricken areas of the world.
Sr. High
Welcome to Youth Group! We can be a bit crazy at times but overall we're just a group that wants to know Jesus better and desire Him to impact every area of our lives. Whether you're a strong Christian or just curious, MCYG is the place to find out what being a Christian is all about. There are tons of activities and many ways you can be involved. We invite you to join in and look forward to getting to know you! We get together weekly on Wednesday nights for worship and Bible teaching...don't misunderstand, this is not your daddy's Bible study! Pastor Scott uses all types of technology and teaching tools to communicate Jesus Christ in a style that we can all understand.
Every year we leave for a week and go on a mission trip, alternating state-side and overseas. We've been to Ecuador, Mexico, Costa Rica, Ohio, Kentucky, Canada and Haiti. During our outreach we serve through construction, drama, music, feeding the hungry and simply loving those we connect with. Our mission trips have been life changing for both the people we reach out to and for the members of our group.
