Philly SportsCast #121 – Feburary 15, 2008

It’s been two weeks since our last confession and Dave and I can safely say that we have been dreading having to congratulate the Giants on their victory on Superbowl XLII. After road victories over the Bucs, Cowboys and Packers, Eli and the boys took it to the undefeated Patriots and came out of Phoenix with a monster of a win.

Superbowl rings – Eli Manning 1, Donavan McNabb 0.

We also talk the sad state of the Flyers, the playoff-bound Sixers. Finally it’s all baseball, both off and on Capital Hill, with a guest appearance by everyone’s soon to be favorite barrister.

With Johan Santana about to sign a monster deal with the New York Mets, it looks like the Phillies will have to work a little harder to get to Jimmy Rollins’ magic number of 100 wins.

As Indiana Jones would say, “Snakes. Why did it have to be the Mets.”

Remember, the Mets haven’t won anything yet and it’s not all doom and gloom – it’s Superbowl week and your Philadelphia Flyers are, as of this writing, in first place.

Let’s have some fun, it’s the least we can do.

Philly SportsCast #119 – January 23, 2008

While we can complain that the Giants are in the playoffs, it won't do anyone any good. At least we could have made a few dollars on them bums – turns out we couldn't even do that.

But that's short money, in the long run it looks like Eli will be around for a long time – something that could get DC well paid. What do you think? Listen to the podcast and let me know if you to believe in miracles.

We also discuss the Spectrum's long-overdue demise as well as the Flyers problem with the Devils. O yeah – Jimmy Rollins predicted 100 wins for the 2008 Phillies. Oh yeah! It's on for sure.
