The third of four tax software reviews, an interview with Joanne Birch of UFile. We also spoke with Luke Hoard of mycomputerworks dot com, an innovative company that fixes computer problems through remote connections.

The first show of the month means that we are joined once again in studio by Paul Middelveen from the Trailing Edge, taking listener questions and dispensing nuggets of computer genius. The guest host was Nick Vandergragt.

On the show this week was a mixed bag, we look at our last piece of tax software, genutax, discussing the merits of that particular package. Greg Hebert guest hosts the show and we discuss topics as varied as wireless network security, iPhones, anti-virus and plain old common sense computing.

The second look at tax preparation software takes us to familiar ground, Norm spoke with Cameron Moore, Product Manager with QuickTax. As most people know, QuickTax is arguably the most popular tax preparation software brand in Canada and Cameron tells Norm what is new for the 2007 tax year edition. We then took a bit of a break and discussed our favourite diversionary game sites.

This week we start our four part series looking into tax preparation software. We started with the FREE StudioTAX program, essentially a pet project that has taken off into an amazing piece of professional quality software. We also reviewed a few of our favourite freeware and shareware products.
